Dr. Lash attended medical school at the University of Utah and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He is board certified in pediatrics. He is married and has two sons. His hobbies include soccer, music, cooking, gardening and enjoying the outdoors. Dr. Lash enjoys working with children who have attention or school-related challenges. He speaks Spanish and has volunteered in various communities in Latin America.
Dr. Buchanan attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at UC Davis in Sacramento. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is fluent in German. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano and the bagpipes, cycling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Rachel have 5 young children: Annabelle, Clara, Henry, Ella, and Finn. They also have a little girl, Emma, who they love and miss very much.
Dr. Bosworth received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota and is board certified in Pediatrics. He has studied respiratory diseases in children, leading to several publications in medical journals. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish. He volunteers as a medical instructor in South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. He enjoys hiking, fly fishing, painting, skiing, and photography. Dr. Packer attended medical school at the University of Utah and completed her pediatric residency at Primary Children's Medical Center. She is board certified in pediatrics. She is married and has three little girls. She enjoys running, reading, and traveling. She loves being both a pediatrician and a mom.
Dr. Ridge received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University. He completed his internship and post-doctoral residency in Clinical Child Psychology at Texas Children’s Hospital. After finishing his psychology training, Dr. Ridge went on to receive his physician assistant degree from Baylor College of Medicine. His unique combination of degrees allows Dr. Ridge to provide both psychological and medical services at Wasatch Pediatrics. He specializes in assessing for and treating children (ages 2 – 18) suffering from anxiety and mood disorders, AD/HD and other emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. Ridge utilizes medication, cognitive behavior strategies, and parent training to help children and adolescents with these difficulties. Dr. Ridge is married and has 4 children, 3 sons, and a daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, swimming, and enjoying Utah’s outdoors.
Steven Ostergaard graduated from BYU as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1979. He has worked in an infant high risk clinic with Dr. Goodwin for the State Health Department. He also worked at Primary Children's Hospital doing Life Flight for a number of years, and 23 years in the emergency department. He was in the 19th Special Forces Group as a medic. He enjoys home remodeling, fishing, ATV's with the family, camping and is now trying his hand at golfing.
Teresa McNaught was born and raised in Alberta, Canada where she attained her nursing degrees. She and her family moved to Sandy, Utah in 1992. As an RN, she was a Newborn ICU nurse and researcher. She received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) Master's degree at the University of Utah. She has practiced in pediatric neurology and cardiology at Primary Children's Medical Center. She has three children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and one grandchild. She loves reading, swimming, camping and spending time with her family.
Dr. Ellis was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah. He earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson before returning home to complete his residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. During his training, Dr. Ellis completed his community pediatrics experienceat Wasatch Pediatrics Southpoint, alongsideDr. Bosworth.Dr. Ellis enjoys pediatrics and caring for kids because of their innate resilience and positivity.He also draws great satisfaction in caring for and getting to know entire families and watching them grow up together. As a father of three, Dr. Ellis strives to be the type of pediatrician he expects for his own children. He believes patience, proficiency, and integrity are essential. He also relates to the ups and downs of being a parent and enjoys taking time to answer all the little questions.
When outside the clinic, Dr. Ellis can be found spending time with his family. He speaks Portuguese and enjoys reading Wikipedia pages, woodworking, racquetball, and the occasional video game to stay current with pediatric pop-culture.
Emily Barrett is a registered dietitian--a healthcare professional licensed to assess, diagnose, and treat nutritional problems. Emily earned her master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Utah. Emily is available to meet with patients regarding a variety of dietary and nutritional needs, including weight management, picky eating, food allergies, sports nutrition, celiac disease, and general nutrition for infants, toddlers, and adolescents. Outside the clinic, Emily is an avid runner and loves spending time in the mountains with her young family.
